An Ode To The Humble Letter

Prior to 2012, I was not a frequent letter writer. I’d had the odd penpal here and there, and received the occasional letter from my Grandparents when I relocated to London for university, but it wasn’t something I regarded as important, more a quaint idea that lacked practicality in the modern world of email and texts.

Beat the Chill- Everyday Winter Favourites (Non-Beauty)

Aside from Christmas, my favourite thing about winter is coming in from the cold into the cosiness of a warm fire and a cup of tea. Unlike most people I know, I’m one of those who much prefers the freezing cold to the searing heat. Maybe this is because I’m pretty much consistently cold anyway, and as a result I usually end up spending the majority of winter under several jumpers, or permanently attached to a blanket. Here are some of my non-beauty favourites to keep cosy, pre and post-festive season-

December has always been my favourite month. Perhaps, unsurprisingly, this is because my birthday is right in the middle and Christmas shortly follows. However, Winter's harsh conditions can be a little wearing, and so here I’ve listed my favourite beauty products to use when you need them most. I’ve also got some non-beauty favourites, so look out for those shortly!

Another Introduction

I've just about lost count of how many times I've written a 'welcome to my blog' post. Despite having started blogging in 2009 (the year everyone seemingly began blogging), I still consider myself to be a bit of a novice. I'm also very fickle by nature, so let this serve as a warning that this site will almost definitely change its layout, font and pictures sizes on a daily bases, that is until I'm finally happy with the outcome. After writing on and off for my previous blog until around 2011, I abandoned this world with the thought that it was rather outdated , and that some of the posts I was creating were, dare I say it, a little cringe worthy. Of course after continueing to read other blogs that have gone on to become great successes, I realise I may have to quick to judge this world, and I began to remember how much I loved blogging back in the day. So I'm back, with a new URL, and a bunch of new ideas.I'll be posting on topics of beauty, fashion and outfit posts, longer written pieces, and the odd recipe. Welcome to my corner of the internet!
